Dragon Riders are happy to be back celebrating the Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Races. We have been paddling as a team for so long we can’t even remember how many years. This boat of powerful women paddlers have lots of energy, fun loving and will breathe fire when in competition. That’s right, we are no puff dragon riders, we sail the winds of eternity, hear us roar. Not even the Oregon rain can put out our fire, because we are the Dragon Riders, the heart of our Dragon. Dragon Riders have vibrant spirit, team unity and positivity. We are bold Dragon Riders fearlessly paddling to the sound of the drum through the waters of Portland Willamette River and yes, we know what’s in the river and we still get in to paddle.

“There once was a monster with wings and fiery breath.
We went to his home which was a rock dome and we caught him
With some rope and some twine. He was golden green
And he was quite sheen. Then we trained him for the saddle
and we trained him for a battle. And now we can ride on his back
with the wind in our hair and the people declare, “Tis the Dragon Riders”
